It’s Time To Take Axes To Taxes

ax taxes

Tax our land,
Tax our bed,
Tax the table
At which we’re fed.

Tax our work,
Tax our pay,
We work for peanuts

Tax our cow,
Tax our goat,
Tax our pants,
Tax our coat.

Tax our tobacco,
Tax our drink,
Tax us if we
Try to think.

Tax our car,
Tax our gas,
Find new ways
To tax our ass.

Tax all we have
Then let us know
That you won’t be done
Till we have no dough.

When we scream and holler;
Then tax us some more,
Tax us till
We’re good and sore.

Then tax our coffin,
Tax our grave,
Tax the sod in
Which we’re laid.

When we’re gone,
Do not relax,
Its time to apply
The inheritance tax.

Almost makes you sick, doesn’t it? Well, not one of these taxes existed 60 years ago, and our nation was one of the most prosperous in the world. We had absolutely no national debt, a large middle class and a parent could afford to stay home to raise the kids.

So, what the heck happened? Politicians.

If you think it is time to take axes to taxes too, share this with your friends, and let’s get the political forges roaring.
